No idols, no fans of anyone. (A statement of denial?)

  • May 1, 2008

The reason: we’d like to let ourselves open widely to absorb every single experience without being over precedence. More over, we just want to be ourselves, not anybody else.

That’s roughly the ideas, definitely with no ignorance of the fact that we be shaped by the influence of the others, specifically ‘the great people’ we ever know, and with all respect and fully appreciation for the existence of the others and their works ever done.

It’s been working well for quite a while. It’s even getting easier to be done, as we are being mature in walking the path and the role we confidently choose to play in this life.

But not until couple days ago, when we heard rumour that Slank is going to hold mini concert here in near future.

It’s not only about the gig we’d like to be there. There is, somehow, a kind of emotional engagement that we have to admit. Something awake inside, drive us more than usual. Perhaps, it is about memory of regular companion in the past journey. It may be about early influences of the vision how arts, music in this case, can work sincerely portraying the society and play its own role in building a better world.

Even we are ready if we may have to miss their performance for any reason, as we usually don’t take this kind of thing as a big deal, honestly we may regret it. There is a sort of demand to re-nourish the spirit inside, by being closer, to experience the latest works they achieved.

Is it the time that the oath of ‘No Idol, No fans of anyone’ has been proven invalid?

Urmm, we are not really sure. Still, we are likely ‘arrogantly’ to say, there is respect for positive influences we received from them, but not for being fans, not as our idol.

The Sparks Tonight

Some reviews may rate AutoAuto! by Christian von Richtofen and Rolf Clausen not as one of the best performance ever. Still, there are things deserve to be appreciated. Even, in our opinion, it was good and much more than average.

At the least, it was entertaining and we enjoyed the show. More than that, we feel glad to witness the fruits of the passion and dedication (of being art performers). Both of the performers no doubt know and master their tools, specifically percussive rhythm and music in this show. It was mature. The best part, perhaps, is the creative idea to transfer the breath into unusual form of music/theatre performance.

Being surrounded by other people’s works always works for us in certain ways. It sparks and fuels the engine.

To Johanna Damm, the marketing manager of Riverside Studios, thanks a lot for the tickets!

Collaboration with The Survival Routines

  • April 13, 2008

Life is survival, somehow. Things come and take place on our path, and we just have to deal with them in order to move on.

Our long of private creative process, not very rare be forced to collaborate with this kind of things. The freedom to play around in the laboratory with only the desired materials is very luxury stuff.

It has been very busy weeks, juggling the resources to accommodate survival routines, whilst keeping the projects progressing.

The good news: we’re still moving forward. (*what else, time of life never moves backward, does it?)

To a friend, see you soon in the next future!

  • March 28, 2008

However we try to apply the best meaning of friend equally to each one we have, we have to admit that it doesn’t end up naturally like that. Some are ‘just a friend’, some are ‘much more than just a friend’, the rest stand among them, either closer to the first or another.

Today, a friend of us, Ania back for good to Wroclaw, Poland, a decision that she finally had to make. It may have been only bit more than a year, but we’ve been together through colourful journey. It is hard to judge how close precisely we are, nevertheless we know that we care each other to the extent we may help each other if possible and walk together in our limited situation. It sometimes doesn’t necessarily mean physical meaning (we definitely have some), but also spiritually. For sure, our commitment to see each other every 2 or 3 week whatever the atmosphere we have to deal with is the best tool we ever had. It works very well, so that a year has been such intense friendship: sharing the dreams and the realities to face.

And here come the not so comfortable time to accept, the absence of physical appearance that no doubt will make some differences, until the time we never know.

Thank you for the time that we’ve spent together, and wish you all the best for whatever your days will be (definitely for your study, as well). Not goodbye, but see you soon in the next future!

Another point of time, another beginning.

This is the ‘official’  launching day (if we really have to say so) of Kalanglarik’s Blog, another mark on the journey.

So, here we are!
